Position Summary

The Vice President for Marketing and Enrollment Management oversees all aspects of the marketing, admissions and financial aid operations and is responsible for providing leadership and coordination for a comprehensive and integrated marketing and enrollment strategy that is consistent with the goals, mission, and resources of MUIH. The Vice President is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive enrollment plan and university-wide marketing and communication plan. The Vice President must be innovative and adept at promoting current academic programs and professional and continuing education, as well as bringing forth recommendations for new recruitment ideas, marketing strategies, financial aid leveraging strategies, retention strategies, and academic strategies that match the University’s mission, values, and market.

Essential Functions

  • Developing, implementing, and  overseeing a comprehensive and integrated enrollment plan with strategies to recruit, enroll and retain graduate students

  • Developing, implementing and overseeing an integrated university-wide marketing and communication strategy that supports the University's mission and aligns with enrollment objectives

  • Providing dynamic vision and leadership as well as motivating and managing the creativity, effectiveness, and performance of the marketing and enrollment management teams

  • Establishing collaborative leadership with Financial Aid to create and implement a comprehensive student aid strategy and program; Marketing to plan, organize, and execute an integrated and  comprehensive marketing, communication, and recruitment plan; and, Admissions to create and implement an integrated comprehensive enrollment plan

  • Working collaboratively with executive leadership to formulate and execute the University’s strategic plan, giving special attention to enrollment and marketing implications

  • Collaborating and communicating with Academic and Student Affairs leadership on an ongoing basis on the planning and execution of strategic integrated marketing, enrollment management, admissions, and retention initiatives

  • Partnering with academic department chairs and program directors, faculty, student services, Natural Care Center, community programs, career placement, and other departments to assure the quality, effectiveness, and success of all marketing, communication, and enrollment programs and activities

  • Overseeing the establishment and implementation of application policies and procedures, and coordinating the proper evaluation of applicants

  • Providing leadership in the development of all admissions materials as well as other marketing materials

  • Coordinating market research and competitive analyses

  • Coordinating on-going database management programs

  • Constantly reviewing and analyzing the effectiveness of all phases of the operation, including revisions and continuous improvement strategies as necessary

  • Establishing, implementing, and monitoring short and long-range goals, objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), dashboards, strategic plans, policies, and operating procedures

  • Serve as an exemplary University advocate in the community, with local leaders, business and corporate partnerships, and other leaders, and build relationships that closely link the community, media outlets, and government and regulatory agencies with the University

  • Provide input to and oversight of University policies, standards, and procedures

  • Demonstrate the highest level of ethics, personal and professional standards, and the ability to motivate and collaborate when working in a team environment

  • With the community culture in mind, employee will serve on committees as needed

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Qualifications  

Required:

  • Master’s degree (higher education, administration, marketing, or related field)

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Marketing and/or Enrollment Management in higher education

  • A strong understanding of graduate admissions recruitment, marketing, and enrollment

  • A working knowledge and ability to use analytics as part of a comprehensive enrollment strategic plan

Preferred:

  • Experience in creating and implementing a strategic integrated marketing plan

  • Experience with technology systems such as CRMS (in particular, Salesforce and Radius) and other data systems

Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated administrative and management skills, along with strong leadership skills

  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong initiative and ability to devise solutions to complex problems and effectively manage multiple long and short term strategies, programs, and objectives.

  • Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, ethnic, and geographic backgrounds of students

  • Appreciation of and commitment to MUIH values
