Rivier University seeks nominations for and expressions of interest for the position of Vice President for Enrollment Management (VPEM).

Rivier University (www.rivier.edu), a Catholic university located in Nashua, New Hampshire 40 minutes north of Boston, is accepting nominations and applications for the position of Vice President for Enrollment Management. With a total headcount of 2,200 students including 800 graduate students, the University has a strong tradition of liberal education and professional programs. The University offers more than 70 degree programs including three doctoral programs. The VPEM will join an engaged leadership team and campus community committed to Vision 2020 with its emphasis on innovation in the sciences, technology and learning, and philanthropy and partnerships. Rivier will open a new 36,000 square foot Science and Innovation Center in fall 2020. The VPEM will be expected to start in August 2020.

Reporting to the President and a valued member of the President’s Cabinet, the VPEM serves as the chief enrollment officer responsible for recruitment for all academic programs and student populations including traditional undergraduates, robust online programs, and graduate and doctoral programs. The VPEM will also have leadership and supervisory oversite over the University’s unique Employment Promise Program, encapsulated in a combined academic and career advising structure focused on the philosophy of appreciative advising and experiential learning.

The successful candidate must possess a master’s degree from an accredited institution and progressively responsible leadership in student recruitment at the director level or above. In addition, the candidate must possess a broad knowledge of student recruitment technologies and workflow, the development of comprehensive recruitment and marketing plans, and the application of financial aid leveraging consistent with the University’s goal of net tuition revenue.

The candidate must value the Catholic mission and vision of the University as articulated in the mission statement and welcome diversity and inclusion as demonstrated through a record of collaborative leadership and hiring. The successful candidate will have superior communication skills, a focus on details through data-driven analysis, and experience with student recruitment technology. A primary goal is to expand the enrollment funnel at all levels. The successful candidate will have a record of accomplishment at private institutions within a competitive demographic environment and a passion for recruitment of both traditional undergraduates and adult learners.
