Directs a broad range of student services and processes to support the University's academic and administrative operations. This includes oversight and direction of student affairs and academic operations, including processes and records related to the student lifecycle from enrollment through graduation, and supports the consistent and accurate implementation of all student facing policies and IPEDS compliance. The position oversees the clinical placement team that supports students in graduate nursing experiential learning courses, and career services' efforts with career development and graduate job placement. Ensure ongoing training and support is provided related to the student information systems and student facing policies and procedures. Incumbent must be able to achieve results by working collaboratively within a matrix organization, often without direct authority, demonstrate strong managerial skills, and contribute to both the strategic and operational levels. The incumbent must assure that the South University philosophy is considered in carrying out the duties and responsibilities of this position: quality services to clients; development, growth, involvement, and recognition of employees; sound economic principles; and maintenance of an environment which is conducive to innovation, positive thinking, and expansion.


  • Oversees for all aspects of the University Registrar processes and teams

  • Assures consistent on boarding, training and continued support for Student Services and Student Affairs staff

  • Coordinates process development and training for all aspects of Campus Nexus and Student Information Systems.

  • Manages all aspects of the clinical coordination team for clinical placement of DNP, MSN and RN to BSN students in clinical courses.

  • Oversees all aspects of Career Services, including career development though the student lifecycle, employer relations, and compliance with graduate job placement reporting

  • Supports the accurate and timely implementation, including training programs and student notification, of all approved policies as published in the catalog.

  • Manages the implementation of the complaint process to include assurance that all locations have complete logs and sufficient training to implement the policies effectively and accurately.

  • Assures the submission of all IPEDS surveys annually to support maintenance of Title IV eligibility.

  • Serves as the University's Title IX Coordinator and ensures training and oversight of compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act

  • Complete special projects as assigned by the VCSSA. Support analysis, summary reporting and distribution of survey results on student satisfaction, academic advising, and other topics as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned


  • Earned doctoral degree from a regionally accredited university preferred; master's degree required

  • 10 or more years' experience in post-secondary education, accreditation, law, and/or regulatory process

  • Superior communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Strong computer skills, especially MS Office Suite.
