Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
The Assistant to the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) provides executive administrative support. This role serves as the administrative liaison between senior leadership within the Finance divisions, and between internal and external constituencies, often involving complex and confidential matters. There is a high volume and variety of daily tasks, requiring the highest degree of discretion and professionalism. This includes managing calendars, meetings, event logistics, travel arrangements, fielding phone calls and emails as directed, and reviewing and editing documents and presentations for the Vice President and CFO. The candidate must be familiar with fielding requests and issues for appropriate reassignment, resolution, and/or escalation. In addition, the incumbent must be familiar with professional correspondence, including greeting and communicating with fellow staff and high-profile guests. Therefore, the Assistant to Vice President and CFO must possess the ability to perform complex tasks, maintain confidentiality, and to balance multiple projects. They will thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Highly organized with demonstrated attention to detail and quality of work product.
- Exceptional judgment, communication, and customer service standards.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and learn quickly.
- Strong knowledge and proficiency using office software (MS Office, Google suite, Adobe Acrobat, Data Systems)
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills when dealing with all levels of management and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as a team, with flexibility for some level of ambiguity and time constraints.
- Ability to analyze situations, de-escalate issues, draw conclusions, and communicate outputs; excellent problem-solving skills.
- Dependable and can proficiently handle confidential information with discretion and tact.
Experience in providing executive level administrative support.
Target Hiring Range: $62,523 – $78,154. The salary will be commensurate to the experience level of the candidate.
